At the workshop held in advance of DFM-Netværk’s annual conference (28. - 29. march 2019) we took a first dive into "Agile Workplace – a story of transformation".

At the workshop, we from Chris Moriarty, Director of Institute of Workplace and Facility Management in the UK. Chris talked about how digitization is transforming the workplace as a concept and its implications for HR, IT, FM and other critical business functions. According to Chris, FM needs to redefine its purpose, so it can best support workers and the core organization. He presented
finding from IWFM’s research that shows that British FM personnel need to familiarize themselves with the technologies that are transforming the way knowledge workers will work in the future.  You can find IWFM’s research here.

Mathias Linnemann, COO
and Co-founder of Worksome freelance platform presented his view on the emerging freelance economy, the future labor market, and what this means for organizations’ ability to attract, integrate and retain talent. Mathias based his presentation on Worksome’s 2019 Freelance Survey, which is out now.

Zenia Francker, Chief Relations Officer at Creators Community and Matrikel1 presented the Creators Community journey from inception to becoming the largest co-working hub in the Nordics, with 1,300 members and 300 companies. The Creators Community consists of Matrikel1, Founders House, Startup Village, in Copenhagen, and MESH in Oslo. Zenia presented Creators Community’s secret sauce for creating
next generation work spaces that attract individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset: Challengers, thinkers, artists and pioneers who want to make a positive impact on the future.
